American Airlines (AA)
American Airlines offer twice-daily non-stop flights to Port of Spain, Trinidad (POS) from Miami (MIA), with inter-city connections from New York (LGA) and Washington (BWI) and other departure points. There are no services directly into Tobago.
Passengers arriving on the second flight of the day will need to overnight at the airport or in Port Of Spain. The AA flight arrives too late to catch the the last airbridge transfer to Tobago.
The service utilises a Boeing 767 in three class configuration. American Airlines also offer daily direct flights between Port of Spain and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The service is provided in a Boeing 738 in a two class configuration. The table below shows the non-stop direct schedules for the 2005/2006 winter high season. The number of flights reduces in the summer low season (May-November). There are connecting flights from various other airports.

Delta Air Lines
I think Delta should be called On-Off Air Lines. Their announced plans have invariably been cancelled before coming into service. As of early 2008 they are offering flights from Atlanta, Georgia, directly to Tobago, with return flights on Sundays. However, their current schedules indicate that service will cease at the end of August 2008. It comes as no surprise that Delta have declined to provide any further information.

Skyservice
Our thanks to the reader who notified about this Canadian charter operator who apparently offers weekly flights to Trinidad from Toronto. They typically fly on Wednesday. However, we understand that the service ceased recently, for some unknown reason, but is expected to re-commence in July 2008.
We have no information on the aircraft type used or class configuration. We understand that the luggage allowance per passenger is just 70lb and may reduce to 50lb at certain times of year.

The service is provided in a Boeing 757.

US Airways
US Airways became the ninth international air carrier to service Tobago when they announced that they would introduce weekly direct flights between Charlotte in North Carolina and Tobago.
The service, which will utilise an Airbus 19-series carrying 120 passengers, is expected to start in January or February 2006. No other details are available at this time.
Update: As at the beginning of April 2006, the US Air website carried no information about this service. Emails to the airline asking about the service have remained unanswered. It looks increasingly as if plans for this service have been abandoned.

Zoom
Important: Zoom ceased trading on 28th August 2008 citing high fuel costs and market difficulties. The following information is therefore irrelevant.
G.G.Tours operate a weekly charter flight between Toronto and Port Of Spain, Trinidad, On Tuesdays. We understand that they are also currently flying on Fridays, but are not sure if this is a permanent service. Sadly, this company have steadfastly refused to provide any information about their service.
We understand that the service utilises a wide-body Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with economy and premium seating and a 140lbs per person baggage allowance.
