This website started with a review of a Tobago hotel - the Coco Reef Resort. The popularity of the review took us by surprise and ultimately led to the creation of the current site, which has unquestionably become the definitive website for accommodation reviews of Tobago accommodation, including reviews of hotels and guest houses, and reviews of self-catering accommodation including vacation rental apartments, houses and villas.
Everyone's first concern is where to stay, so accommodation reviews continue to be the most important part of our site. We have increased the length of our annual visits to Tobago and continue to review as wide a range of property as possible.
Our reviews are not based on a quick inspection of the property; they are written in situ during a stay of between five and seven days. We actively seek the opinion of other guests and take every step to ensure that our own views are typical. We view each property from as wide a perspective as possible and our reports are frank and honest. Our aim is to present the facts in enough detail to enable readers to determine whether the property is right for them.
When choosing review properties, we look for good well-managed establishments. We want properties that we can recommend to visitors, not warn against. Our dedication to myTobago only goes so far - we have no intention of spending our time staying at less than deserving properties. The simple fact that we have reviewed a property is in effect a recommendation. However, I must repeat that only our reader can decide whether any particular property is right for them.
